QGSSSA Cross Country Championships

On Friday 24 May, the Clayfield College Cross Country team travelled to John Paul College to compete in the 2025 QGSSSA Cross Country Championships. The day brought cool weather, a fast-paced course, and a mix of nerves and excitement as runners from across QGSSSA schools lined up to race.

Our team displayed incredible courage and commitment across every age group. Whether it was a first-time runner or an experienced competitor, every Clayfield student gave their all and represented the College with pride. The encouragement between teammates, the effort shown on the track, and the resilience in every race captured exactly what Clayfield sport is all about.

A special congratulations to Grace Hunter (Year 7) who finished 1st in her age group. This is an outstanding achievement and a moment of great pride for the team. Grace’s performance was a true reflection of focus, strength, and determination.

Beyond individual results, the spirit of the day truly stood out. Our runners supported one another from warm-up to finish line, cheering each other on with enthusiasm and positivity.

A heartfelt thank you to our coaches, staff, and families for their ongoing preparation and encouragement throughout the season. And to the supporters who came to cheer from the sidelines - your energy made a world of difference.

We are incredibly proud of the entire team for their dedication, effort, and Clayfield spirit.
