Athletics Day Success!

A huge congratulations to all our student and staff on a fantastic Athletics Day yesterday! Well done to all our students for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and effort throughout the event. With some encouragement from peers and staff, some students even surprised themselves with their achievement.

A day like this does not happen without the collaborative effort of our dedicated staff. Thank you for your hard work in making the day run smoothly. A special thanks to our incredible PE teacher, Ms. Davies for her organisation and leadership.

To give our Foundation to Year 2 students an opportunity to learn about events that occur on an Athletics Day they will be participating in a modified session, this date is to be confirmed. Parents are welcome to attend. Please also let us know at the office if you would like to assist with these type of events. I know Ms. Davies appreciates your support.

Engaging in School Reviews – A Valuable Learning Opportunity

I know that some of you have noticed that I have not been welcoming our students at the school gate in the mornings. This is because I have had the opportunity to take part in several school reviews. You may remember that we had our review last year. The experience of being a ‘challenge partner’ has been productive and insightful. These reviews have allowed me to observe a range of practices and approaches across different educational settings and share ideas. Each visit has provided valuable learning and it has been a great way to reflect on what we do well and consider ways we can support our own continued improvement. Following these reviews I will be taking members of our school to visit and observe some planning sessions and we will also be hosting visitors to our school so they can observe some of our teaching.
