Toys at School
We ask that students please do not bring toys to school unless they are specifically needed for news talks or there has been prior consultation between the Inclusive Education Coordinator or the class teacher and the parent/caregiver. This helps minimize distractions and ensures a focused learning environment for all students.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Parent Supervision Before and After School
A reminder that staff open classrooms at 8.30am and supervision is available in classrooms or at Kiss'n'Drop until 3.30pm. If arriving before 8.30am or staying after 3.30pm, parents are asked to please actively supervise your child.
If you occasionally arrive prior to 8.30am or collect your child slightly later than 3.30pm, and you are not here to supervise, students will need to come to the Front Office. For more consistent arrivals/departures outside these times, children will be booked into OSHC reqiring parents to pay the appropriate fee for the booking.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our students remain safe when they are on site.
Casual Day
On Friday 4th July (Week 10) we are holding a casual day where students are encouraged to wear pyjamas. The money raised will go towards improving garden beds around Pilgrim, as chosen by our Student Representative Team.
A donation is requested from each student. Please use Qkr! for donations or cash on the day. The donation option is already open in Qkr! and will remain open until the end of the term.
Normal standards for hair and jewellery apply and footwear needs to be appropriate for normal class activities, including fitness (not slippers, thongs or slip ons).
Thank you for your support,
Student Representative Team
Connections Cafe
This week the Year 6 students had the opportunity to serve the school community by hosting the Connections Cafe. The students were involved in baking food, leading tours around the Friendship Garden, providing hot drinks, and performing musical items. We enjoyed spending time in conversation with staff and families as we ate food prepared using the vegetables that had been grown from the friendship garden. It was a wonderful time to get together and enjoy each other's company!

Pop-Up Produce Stall
Thank you to families who supported our recent Pop-Up Produce Stall. Some of our staff and students did a wonderful job of picking produce and setting up the cart for the afternoon.
Any money raised from sales on the day will be used to purchase more seed and requirements for the Friendship Garden, so keep an eye out for future Pop-Up Stalls.
Wellbeing Day
On Friday 23rd May, our school was filled with colour, creativity, and connection as we celebrated Wellbeing Day with a special focus on Indonesia. The day was a wonderful opportunity for students to explore cultural connections, express creativity, and reflect on values – both our own and those of our partner school in Indonesia - SD Kowang (Kowang Primary School).
To mark the occasion, students and staff came dressed in the colours of the Indonesian flag (red and white) bringing a festive spirit to the day right from the morning bell.
One of the highlights of the day was a creative activity called Eco Printing. Students collected leaves and flowers from around the school grounds and used them to create beautiful, natural prints on fabric. This sustainable art technique uses the natural dyes found in plants, combined with heat and pressure, to transfer stunning patterns and colours onto cloth. It was a hands-on way for students to connect with nature while exploring traditional methods of creating art.
In a heartwarming cultural exchange, we received canvas drawings from our partner school in Indonesia. Each canvas illustrated the core values that guide their school community. Our students then helped bring these drawings to life by painting them with care and creativity. In return, we created our own canvas artworks showing our school’s values, which we’ll be sending back to Indonesia for their students to paint, a beautiful way of sharing and learning from each other.
Adding even more creative flair to the day, Mrs Harry organised a wonderful craft station where students designed and made colourful birds. This activity encouraged imagination and fine motor skills, while also symbolising freedom, wellbeing, and the joy of learning.
Wellbeing Day reminded us all of the importance of taking time to connect with each other, with other cultures, and with ourselves. We can’t wait to see what our next Wellbeing Day brings!

Congratulations Hannah
Hannah, one of our Year 6 students, was recently asked to design some hearts for the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation. These hearts are being sold at Big W stores for $2 each with all proceeds going to the hospital to improve programs for children.
In her early years especially, Hannah spent a lot of time in and out of hospital and this is one way she has been able to give back to those who have helped her over the years. We love this example of living out our school value of 'Serve' too!
If you would like to see Hannah's designs and support this great cause, pop into your local Big W store and purchase a heart to add to their supporter wall.
Scripture Union Primary Aged Club (SUPA Club)
Would you be interested in volunteering once a week to help be part of an inter-church after school SUPA Club working with Scripture Union. There is a need for more team members and especially someone who could take a lead with this group.
This is an opportunity for a Campus kids club that will be open to students from Nativity, Thiele and Pilgrim Schools. The club will include games, food, craft, stories and sharing a Christian message.
Are you able to commit to being involved Tuesday afternoons from 3 - 5pm each week? The hope is to start the club for Term 3.
If you are interested, could you please contact Chris Battistuzzi from Scripture Union.

Belong and Blossom Playgroup
Belong and Blossom is for children 0-5 years old and their parents and/or carers. It takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.00am - 10.45am during the school term in the Tween room. To register please contact the Front Office, so you can receive our weekly emails letting you know about the week ahead.
This is a time to connect with other parents and for your child to begin their connection with Pilgrim and some of the teachers in the Early Years team. We have story, craft and play times. We share fruit together and end our session with a story and some songs.
