Year 1/2 Learning Reflection

As part of our Literacy Program, we spend time daily on Paired Fluency. Paired Fluency is where students read aloud to a partner using a decodable text. The partner is an active listener and the roles are swapped. The purpose of Paired Fluency is to improve fluency and reading ability. Students are given the opportunity to read the same text over the week to practice fluency and expression while gaining confidence. 

The Grade 1/2's had an amazing time during the Harmony Day Colour Run!

Students created an outline of their body, where they included their personal strength affirmation cards. They also made a shield describing who they are as a person and what their dreams are when they grow up. 

Working collaboratively to order numbers from smallest to largest. Teamwork is dreamwork!
