National Simultaneous Storytime
Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker was the featured picture story book for last Wednesday's National Simultaneous Storytime. Running for 24 years, the initiative aims to celebrate Australian authors and illustrators and to encourage a love of reading and the the importance of literacy skills. Many classes read the book or watched the Live online reading of the book by the author. For anyone interested, the engaging presentation is available to view online.
Congratulations to the lucky students from each of our Prep-2 classes who received a gift of a copy of the book to keep and enjoy at home with their family. A big thank you to Jo Matarazzo in our library for organising the purchase of the books.
Premiers' Reading Challenge
We have 31 students registered for the Premier's Reading Challenge and nine students have already completed it. There's still plenty of time to sign up and start reading.
Your child's teacher will be able to distribute your child's log in details. Please be in touch if you require any assistance.
