2024 Volleyball Season Update

The 2024 volleyball season is officially underway! As we settle into our training routines, let’s take a closer look at the exciting developments:

Fixture Changes

The Albany Volleyball Association (AVA) has made slight adjustments to the fixtures. All mixed competitions, including social divisions A and B, as well as mixed competitive divisions, will now take place on Tuesdays starting at 5.30pm.
Our proposed Junior teams have been allocated into Mixed Social B competition.

Premier League fixtures are scheduled for Wednesdays, kicking off at 6.00pm.

Team Representation

The Great Southern Griffins proudly field 32 players across four teams in the Mixed Social B league. These teams are Griffins, Griffins Blue, Griffins Red, and Griffins White.
Additionally, we have a strong Men’s Premier League team—Griffins Blue—consisting of seven players. After their 2022 premiership win, they’re determined to reclaim their top form, despite the setback in the 2023 semi-finals.

Country Week Teams

Great Southern Grammar is actively participating in the Albany Volleyball League. Their two country week teams are gearing up for the Perth tournament later this term.
The Boys team competes in the Mixed A competitive league, while the Girls team takes on the Women’s Premier League.

National Volunteers Week
