Please see the report on the DIGS campout below, it was a great event with lots of interaction between the Dads and the kids.

A big thank you to Luke Murnane for the work he put into this. The big fire cone certainly was a great place to mingle as the temperature dropped.

DIGS Camp-Out 2024

The weather was perfect for camping this year which contributed to great attendance at the camp-out. Over 50 dads and kids enjoyed setting up camp near the Wild Space which was also thoroughly explored.

A BBQ dinner was followed by a dessert of marshmallows on the fire, and as the afternoon wore on, a few games of tug-of-war were played.

The fire pit was a good focal point for everyone again and we enjoyed the warmth in the morning for eggs and bacon and fresh coffee from Ruff Mornings coffee van.

A big thank you to all the dads who brought their kids and met some new faces from the younger year groups.

Special thanks to Mr Tim Dixon and Bakers Junction Store for supplying our breakfast, Mr Graham Hicks for steel fabrication and fire pit logistics, and Mr Callum Scott for supplying firewood this year.

We look forward to doing it again Term Two next year!
