Sport

It’s been another busy fortnight in PE, here are some of the highlights;

Ringwood Saints Baseball visit

Thank you to the team at Ringwood Saints Baseball Club for coming down to help at our Level 5/6 T-Ball training session on Friday! The students learned lots of new batting, fielding, and catching skills throughout their session. If your child is interested in joining the Ringwood Saints in 2024, please see the flyer below.

Team Victoria

Congratulations to our all our students who participated in the highly competitive ‘Team Victoria’ try-outs in 2024! The students have participated against the strongest students in their chosen field from across the State for a chance to represent the state at Nationals later this year. We are so proud of all these students who have represented the school with great pride.

Competing students below:

Amanda X – Diving (Selected for Team Victoria)

Metisse D – Hockey (Selected for Team Victoria)

Harry T – Netball (State finalist) * still competing

Avish L – Cricket (Eastern Conference finalist) * still competing

Collette C – Basketball (Eastern Conference finalist)

Harper G – Basketball (Regional finalist)

MCG Soccer stars!!

Level 1 students Tabitha A, Elsie A, Rory A, and Eloise F (along with incoming 2025 Foundation student and occasional run-clubber Patrick A) were invited to play a half-time Mini Roos game at the MCG on Wednesday night when Premier League teams Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United played as part of Global Football Week.

The students are all participating in the Mini Roos Clinics at the Whitehorse United Club in Vermont and were invited to play a short game at half-time.

With over 78,000 people in attendance, the kids had the thrill of running onto the 'G and being centre stage on the big screen, showing off their soccer skills on Australia’s biggest stage! All reported that it was "EPIC!!" and they love playing soccer with Whitehorse United.

Inner East - Cricket Awards

Congratulations to our Grade 6 cricket superstar, Avish L, who was recently crowned ‘Player of the Carnival’ at the Inner-East Cricket Awards night. He was also awarded the Max Run Batting award! We wish him the best of luck as he continues with his Team Victoria tryouts over the coming weeks!

Rangeview Auskick

We are very excited about the launch of our new Auskick program, which will be run on our school oval each Monday. If you would like to sign up your child for this great program, scan the QR code below.
