Swimming

This week, students in 6A, 6H, 3/4L, Level 3, Level 2 and Level 1 took part in the 5 day extensive swimming program at Aqualink in Nunawading. Qualified swimming instructors have worked with our students in the pool to learn about water safety.

The Health and Physical Education Curriculum in primary schools includes swimming and water safety. By the end of primary school, it is anticipated that students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills identified in the Victorian Water Safety Certificate.

Students in 6G, 6C, Level 4 and Level 5 will take part in the 5 day program next week. Foundation students will take part in a swimming program later in the year.

A big thank you to parent / carer helpers and to our staff.

National Simultaneous Story Time

On Wednesday 22nd May, students took part in the National Simultaneous Storytime 2024, in the school library. Students in Australia and New Zealand took part, reading 'Bowerbird Blues' by Aura Parker.  Students then participated in follow up activities in the classroom.

Thank you to Marita Horvath and Lynette Ellis.

Maths at Home

At Rangeview Primary School, we absolutely love working with our students to improve not only mathematical skills, but maths engagement and enjoyment. We are often asked how families can further support their children's learning at home. Below are the 'Top 5 Tips' that may assist.

Carpark Safety

Carparks and children do not mix and it is so important we are teaching our students how to be safe around carparks. A reminder to please not walk your child/children through the carpark. Please use the paths provided.
