As part of our Primary Opening Ceremony, our students each wrote beautiful letters for our Time Capsule Here are a few to enjoy highlighting life now, current news and imagined futuristic changes to life in 50 years.
Our Year 6 students had a fantastic experience at Forest Edge Recreation Camp in Waroona during Week 5. The days were filled with exciting adventures and activities where students collaborated, challenged themselves, and formed new friendships. Some thrilling highlights included abseiling, climbing and jumping from the pamper pole, and crate climbing. They also enjoyed crafts, target practice, team-building games, and plenty of delicious food. It was a wonderful experience for everyone, and the students did an exceptional job of representing our school.
Farmer Mick visited our Kindergarten children with an array of farm animals as part of The Farmyard on Wheels incursion. The children were able to hold baby chickens, pat a horse, sheep and goat and even feed baby goats. They learnt so much from Farmer Mick about farm animals, as the delighted faces show!

On 29 May, the Year 2 classes went on an excursion to Brownes Dairy. We went there to learn about how milk gets to the stores. First, we went on the bus. I sat next to Jasmine. The weather was rainy. Then we got to Brownes Dairy, and ate lunch at the cafe. We met Farmer Damian. He showed us a video about milk. Next, Farmer Damian took us on a tour of the factory. We looked through the windows and saw how milk was getting made Miss Richardson dressed like one of the workers. She looked funny. After that, we taste-tested some yoghurt. I got all of them right. The yoghurt was delicious. There were three flavours: peaches and cream, banana, and vanilla. Finally, we milked Belinda the cow It felt weird I thought that Belinda would kick me! My favourite part was milking Belinda because I was excited to milk a cow and it was my first time.
Our Year 1 and Year 2 classes had an inspiring visit from the Australian Earth Science Education Center. Hannah taught our Year 1 classes about the sun's energy and ultraviolet light by making bead rings that change colour in the sunlight. Meanwhile, our budding Year 2 geologists learnt about The Cycle of a Rock, different rock types, and minerals and got to make their own rock 'friend' to remember everything they learnt.
Below is our Year 5 report on their exciting Scitech excursion. Thank you to our parent volunteers for assisting on the excursion. Your enthusiasm and care helped to make these events possible.
