Reader's Workshop

In Reader's Workshop, students have been learning to answer and ask questions as they read. This helps them to gain a greater understanding of individual and shared texts. Some of these questions can include literal , inferential and beyond the text questions. 

Writing

In Writing, students have continued to develop their writing skills through constructing information reports, narratives and weekend recounts. Students have had a strong focus on capital letters, full stops and rereading and editing their work. 

Mathematics

In Maths this term, we have been focusing on subtraction and developing an understanding in fact families, difference between and worded problems. Students have used a variety of concrete materials as well as their knowledge of numbers to ten to solve problems.
