Wellbeing Wrap Up
The Autumn sunshine may have left us but the wonderful manners, smiling faces and respectful attitude of our DPS learners definitely remains.
Our upcoming student led conferences provide a great opportunity to celebrate social, emotional and academic successes and plan goals for the future.
In wellbeing lessons, our students continue to learn about ways to positively problem solve classroom and outside scenarios.
In our latest TRIBES lesson our students discussed how at DPS we agree on rules before starting a game. When visiting TRIBES groups it was fantastic to see students playing respectfully, following rules and being humble winners.
Here are some student thoughts about the activity:
Violette 2S "It’s important to pay fairly so you don’t get hurt."
Cindy 2F "Before we play a game, we have to agree on the rules so that it is fun and fair."
John 4G" We are learning to follow rules and not be a show off when we win."
Katie 5F "We can bond with other students and listen to the rules."
Hayley 6S- "We played the game to learn teamwork, play with different people and follow the rules so everyone is happy and nobody gets hurt."
