MAXIM K - OUR JIU JITSU CHAMP!
We love sharing our good news stories, with this being a very exciting piece of news! Last Sunday Maxim K of 2Z, participated in the VJJC - the 2024 Victorian Jiu Jitsu Championships. He performed consistently well over the day and came away winning the gold in his division!
Max joined a Martial Arts club and only started training less than a year ago. His family are very proud that he has chosen to participate in competitions, despite his initial fears and uncertainties that came with this new experience. Despite this, he has so far done very well, participating in 6 tournaments and winning 4 gold and 2 silver trophies. At the moment he is ranked N09 in Australia in all Junior divisions.
Congratulations Maxim - what a wonderful achievement this is on so many levels!
WHAT A TREAT!
YEAR 4-6 AFL N.A.B. SUPER CLINICS
On Tuesday this week our Year 4, 5 & 6 classes were treated to a special AFL football superkick clinic, run by two Superkick external coaches. Students were involved in a number of hands-on skill development drills and to finish off, played a fun modified game to apply these football skills. Our students were also given a few prizes to wrap up their fun clinic. This Superkick clinic program is aimed to help the AFL promote the launch of the East Brighton Superkick Centre, which is encouraging all children to ‘Find Your Footy this season!’.
