Prep
Students have begun their second final piece for the art show. After exploring David Bromley’s butterfly art and practicing symmetry, they’ve been sketching their own designs. Now, they’re ready to bring them to life with oil pastels.
Year 1/2
Our 1/2 students have been learning about the challenges turtles face in their changing environments. After practicing turtle drawings, they created their final sketches. Next, they'll add details with colour and paint a background reflecting the turtle’s habitat.Year 3/4
Students started a new drawing project this fortnight, inspired by Reg Mombassa’s landscape artworks. They were asked to create their own landscape, imagining a sustainable future. Next, they will explore a variety of lines and patterns to enhance their artwork.
Year 5/6
As students finish their first final piece, they are starting a new drawing project for the art show. They were introduced to Jess Harwood, an Australian politician and artist. Each student will choose a native Australian animal that is endangered or at risk and create a slogan to promote its protection.
