Wellbeing at NMPS

From Shaun Andrews, Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader
Assemblies
In 2025, we are introducing changes to how we run assemblies to better support student development. We will shift to year-level assemblies on a tri-weekly (Molesworth St campus) or monthly (Errol St campus) cycle, allowing for a more focused and engaging experience tailored to each year level.
Whole school assemblies at Molesworth St will still occur, but only for significant cultural events and end-of-term student achievement celebrations, with details shared on Compass.
Rise Awards, recognising students who exemplify our school values (Responsible, Inclusive, Sagacious, and Ethical), will continue at year-level assemblies, and awardees' names will be published in the newsletter. The Principal’s Award will be presented at end-of-term assemblies to highlight outstanding achievements across the school.
These changes aim to foster stronger connections, provide more leadership opportunities, and better support student growth. We’re excited about the positive impact this will have on our students’ learning journeys.
Families will be invited to attend Year Level Assemblies later in the year. We welcome you all to join us for our first Whole School Assembly on April 4th at 9:15am in our Molesworth Street Gym.
