Drumming, Rhythm & Movement

At the halfway mark of Term One already! And that means we are starting to really lay some great foundations in the skills we are working on in Performing Arts.

This week, we are shining a light on our Grade 3 and 4 students. The kids have continued to make some noise in their Bucket Drumming activities, drumming in unison, combining different rhythm patterns, building their skills and learning an extended piece called Two on One. It’s starting to sound pretty awesome. For students who want to go further with this, Patrick is now running a Bucket Drumming Club on Wednesdays during Second Play.

In Drama and Movement activities, our key concepts for our Grade 3 and 4 students have been moving in unison, working in groups, creating interesting shapes together and using focus to communicate meaning. 

It’s been fun!
