Camp Anglesea
Last Monday morning, we had an early start, meeting at school by 6:30 AM to board the bus to Anglesea. Even though it was early, we were full of excitement for the days ahead and a little bit nervous too. After a surprisingly quick bus ride, we arrived in sunny Anglesea.
We were so excited to find out what cabins we were in and set up our bunk beds! After a quick morning tea, we jumped straight into the action, taking on activities like surfing, canoeing, bike riding, low ropes, and archery. Surfing was a highlight for many of us, as we learned to balance on our boards and catch some waves. Canoeing tested our teamwork, while bike riding gave us a chance to explore the area. The low ropes course and archery challenged our coordination and focus.
After a big day, we enjoyed fish and chips for dinner and ice cream for dessert before settling in to watch Shrek, which had everyone laughing. We were so tired we didn't even finish the movie because everyone was falling asleep! At the 9pm the teachers came around to say "lights out" but some of us were giggling and chatting so much the teachers had to knock on our doors!
The next morning, we had pancakes for breakfast before heading out for more activities. By the time we boarded the bus home, we were all so exhausted, a little bit sunburnt but mostly happy after an amazing two days. A huge thank you to our teachers, parent helpers and instructors for making camp such a great experience!
