School Photos
School photos will be held Tuesday 1st April. Please ensure your child wears their full summer school uniform including polished shoes. Hair is to be neat and tidy with long hair beyond the shoulders tied back with a plain tie or school coloured ribbon (navy or gold/yellow).
Canteen Changes
Please note the following changes to the canteen in the up coming weeks:
- Friday 21st March: Lunch only available (no recess due to Cross Country)
- Thursday 27th March: No canteen available
Friday 28th March: P&F Hot Dog Fundraiser (no recess available)
Anaphylaxis and Food Allergies
St Joseph’s is an allergy aware school. We have several children in our school who are severely allergic to various varieties of nuts and certain foods. Their allergies are life threatening, so we ask all parents to refrain from sending the following foods to school: nuts, peanut butter sandwiches, nutella sandwiches, muesli bars with nuts, chocolate coated nuts, satay flavoured noodles etc. Please tell your child not to swap or trade their food with others.
Easter Egg Raffle
The P&F Committee are still seeking donations for the annual Easter Raffle. The committee are looking to provide prizes of baskets full of Easter treats and goodies. Thank you to the families who have already sent in donations.
Raffle tickets were sent home last week to those who have nominated via Compass to assist in the selling of these tickets. Please contact the office if you would like further books to sell.
Enrolling now for Kindergarten 2026
Our enrolment period for Kindergarten 2026 is now open! Please visit https://stjosephstamworth.catholic.edu.au/enrolment/ for enrolment details or contact the office on 6765 4079 for further information. Enrolment applications must be accompanied by the relevant supporting documents as listed on the cover page of the application form. Applications close on Tuesday 8th April. If you know anyone who has a child wishing to start Kindergarten at St Joseph's next year, please share this information with them.
Chess
Chess is held each Friday in the hall during first break with Mrs McNeill. Chess is one of the most powerful educational tools available to strengthen a child's mind. Whatever a child's age, chess can enhance concentration, patience and perseverance. All year levels are welcome.

Compass Events
Please ensure you regularly log into your Compass parent portal and approve or decline any events shown for your child/children. Thank you to the families who have already attended to this.
School Hours - Supervision & Attendance
A reminder that school commences at 8:45am and ends at 2:50pm. Supervision in the morning is from 8:15am, please do not arrive before this time.
If your child arrives at school after 8:45am, a parent/carer will need to sign the student in at the front office. The Crown St gate is locked for security reasons at 8:45am.
Students can be dropped off in the mornings at the Denison St entrance or the Crown St church gate entrance. Only the Crown St church gate is to be used for afternoon pick ups please.
Esteem Kids
If you require the services of after school care please contact William Wong directly at info@esteemkidsgroup.com.au or 0410 841 628. If your child has a change of plans and will not be attending after school on a particular day please let William know.
2025 School Fees
The second installment of school fees is due on 21st March. Payments can be made via BPay - details are available on your statement, Eftpos is also available at the school.
Any family/carer requiring assistance with school fees is encouraged to make an appointment and come and meet with us as soon as possible.

Clothing Pool Opening Hours
Just a reminder that the clothing pool is open Monday to Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm for second hand uniform items. These items are $5.00 each and can be paid by Eftpos.
Change in Routine
Can you please advise the school office before 2:30pm if there is any change in your child's afternoon routine.
Meeting With Teachers
Mornings and afternoons are very busy times for teachers as they are preparing for the day ahead and planning with their co-teachers, which unfortunately means that they are often unable to make time for a meeting without notice. For that reason, if you need to discuss anything with your child's teacher, please contact the school office to schedule an appointment. This will ensure you have the full attention of the teachers and the time necessary. Alternatively, an email can be sent to sjtadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au and will be forwarded onto the class teacher.
