Year 4 Bike Ed
Our Year 4 students are to be congratulated for their effort and perseverance as they develop their bike riding skills throughout this year’s Bike Ed program. Mount View students are fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this important PE program. I am proud of the way they challenge themselves and encourage each other to do their best. I am grateful to our teachers and support staff for all they do to ensure that our students have this experience- it is a mammoth task and I thank everyone who has contributed to the success of this year’s Bike Ed program. This includes our parent helpers who take time out of their busy schedules to support our students and staff. The final bike ride will be held on Friday 6 December which will conclude with a famous Mount View BBQ so please look out for further details.

A couple of important reminders
Fast Food
An increasing number of parents are buying food from fast food outlets and bringing it to their children at lunch time. This causes issues for other children who are wondering why they can’t have fast food for lunch. Students can order lunch from the canteen and parents are not allowed to bring fast food for their children.
Late Arrivals
All students who arrive late to school must sign in using the Compass kiosk at the front of the school.
Picking up children during the school day and dropping off belongings
There are times when families need to pick up their children from school before the end of the day. Please notify your child’s class teacher when you need to pick up your child early and they will organise for them to meet you at the office.
There are also times when you might need to bring your child something that they have left at home. When this happens, please leave the items at the office so that we can organise for them to be picked up by your child.
It is important that adults are not walking into classrooms and through the school grounds during class time, recess and lunchtime. These arrangements prioritise student safety and learning.
Thank you for your assistance with this important matter.
