Art Shows, Democracy Expo, Transition, Swimming ... all in a week's work at IPS
I have uploaded a few pictures of Foundation swimming and a few from Foundation visiting grade 1 classes (not sure if this is wanted for this week or for future week newsletters)
Grade 6 students have been studying Democracy, law making and governance in Canberra. Their exhibition is a culmination of lessons and camp experiences. The expo is an opportunity to share the first hand knowledge that they gathered during the Canberra Tour program. As the generous sponsorship of the Canberra Tour by the Thai Chamber of Commerce has ceased, we will begin fund raising in earnest early in the new year.
Foundation students visit Year 1.
We provide opportunities for students to experiences different classes and teachers to help them feel comfortable in the transition to their new classes next year.
Foundation students begin their intensive swim program at the local pool.
Thank you to our parent volunteers for walking with the classes to and from the pool.
Last week the Foundation students' teddy bears had a sleepover at school. Students made little beds for their teddy bears so that they would be comfy overnight.
I don't think there was much sleeping. It looks like the teddies and toys got up to some mischief.
The students have been working hard for months on their artworks for the exhibition, and these masterpieces are now ready to be displayed, celebrated and enjoyed!
Here are just some of the amazing artwork on display:
Please come down to support and honour their achievements in Art this year.
Last day is this Friday.
