Learning & Teaching

Tomorrow evening we will have our end of year Dance Concert at St Francis of the Fields in Strathfieldsaye. Students have been busy learning their Unit dance with Kinect2Dance. They are very excited to be performing for everyone.

Each Grade level will be performing one dance as a unit, with the whole school also performing at the end. The evening will begin at 6pm, with doors opening at 5:40pm. Everyone seated by 5:55pm.

Whilst we understand that many families have other commitments on a Thursday night, we are requesting all students to attend.

If you know that your child is unable to attend the concert, can you please email your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

Teachers will inform families of what the students are to wear on the night.

GRADE 1 EXCURSION

Twisted Science

On the 14th of November, the Grade 1s travelled to Twisted Science in Echuca. We made tornadoes out of glitter, vinegar, detergent and water. We also made raining clouds with cotton balls, food dye and water.

After our workshop, we got to do some fun exhibits! My favourite exhibit was the paper airplane one. You had to make paper aeroplanes and then put them into a machine and shoot them! (Harvey)

My favourite exhibit was the light pulls. They lighted up when you put them into the different coloured holes. (Hazel).

I liked the air shooter where you had to put a parachute guy on the fan and he blew up into the air! (Darcy M).

We loved going to Twisted Science! It was a blast. Thank you to Twisted Science and all the adults who came with us.
