Rule: A "rule" in mathematics is a formula which allows a person to work out parts of the solution if he or she has certain information

 

Describe: to tell someone the appearance of something

Create Your Own Pattern

 

Instructions:

  1. Make your own pattern using numbers or shapes (e.g., 3, 6, 9, ... or 🔵🔺🔵🔺...).
  2. Write down the first 5 terms.
  3. Write the rule for your pattern.

Find a repeating pattern around your house (e.g., tiles, wallpaper, or furniture design).

  • Describe the pattern you see.
  • If it continues, what would the next part of the pattern look like?
