Grade 5 Report

Students Dive into Geography and Financial Math

Over the past few weeks, our Grade 5 students have been hard at work completing their assessments and are now shifting their focus and excitement to their geography projects.

This project has given them the opportunity to explore the cultural, historical, and natural highlights of their chosen nations. But that's not all—they’ve also been stepping into the shoes of travel agents by designing travel brochures and packages tailored to their countries.

Using their financial math skills, the students are calculating travel costs, budgeting for accommodations, and planning itineraries to offer unique, cost-effective travel experiences, including discounts for early payments and Christmas specials.

The process has not only enriched their understanding of world geography but also helped them develop practical skills like teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.

The Geography Expo promises to be an incredible showcase of their hard work and ingenuity, as they share their travel packages and more with peers, teachers, and families.

We’re so proud of the enthusiasm and dedication our Grade 5 students have shown throughout this project.

Their work highlights the connection between academic learning and real-world applications, and we can’t wait to see the results of their efforts at the expo!
