Art Show

On Friday November 15th we had our annual Art Show celebrating the amazing Arts at Preston Primary School. It was another successful and wonderful evening as our wonderful community gathered for an enjoyable night ahead.

One of the most enjoyable experiences of the night is to see how proud and excited the students are as they direct their family and friends around the beautiful display of Art in the Milking Shed.

As we say to the students, the Art Show is such a marvellous event because they are such talented artists. “Every child is an Artist,” as quoted by Pablo Picasso

Thank You

We would love to thank the many parents, grandparents and friends who gave such lovely feedback about the quality and variety of the artworks. The students work tirelessly throughout the year to produce amazing, quality pieces, each one of whom we are extremely proud of.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents who volunteered to help on the night whether it was with the BBQ, serving and selling, fairy floss or whatever else. We truly could not do it without your help. Your support is much appreciated.

A special mention to Jessica Prescott who helped with the set up. This is a huge task, and we thank you very much. Also, a massive shout out to the fabulous teachers at our school who help on the night. We are truly grateful for your constant support. We truly can’t do this without your help and support.

Principal's Award

This year, Mrs Paterson’s Principal’s Award went to Myrna Domingo from 5AB. Massive congratulations! Myrna’s beautiful bird collage was admired by many. Her artwork is one that would look great hung up in any home.

In the next few weeks, we will be sending all the artwork home – maybe some of you will be receiving it as a present. We could see many of those pieces being framed and proudly hung in your homes.

It has been another successful year in the Junior and Senior art rooms. We extend a well-deserved congratulations to all our students who enthusiastically walk into our classes and produce amazing pieces of art. We are very proud of how hard you all work.
