Year 7 Full Day Transition

Year 7 Transition - Week 5

Our transition days at Narrandera High School are getting better and better and students are learning a lot about what High School life really looks like. This week we had students attend for their first full day, which involved participating in a range of subjects and classroom learning.

We began period 1 with an information session in the hall where we split up into three classes for the rest of the day and timetables were handed out.  Students were then taken down to the uniform shop and were supplied with a Narrandera High School t-shirt as a welcome gift. We then had a quick game outside to get the blood pumping before the end of the session.  With the support of some fantastic year 9 leaders, students then moved off in their classes to period 2. 

The students all found their way around the school for the rest of the day and participated in some of the following subjects; English, Maths, Science, PDHPE, HSIE, Tech Mandatory. 

A massive thank you to the teachers and support staff who provided some awesome activities for the students to engage in throughout the day. I heard one student say ‘this is the best day of school ever’ as they were moving between classes. 

In week 7 we will welcome the students back up to the high school for their final transition day before they join us in Year 7 in 2025.
