Inquiry Term 4

Lots of amazing learning is happening in the learning centres; we have historians and geographical experts developing their knowledge and skills.

We want to share this learning with families on Thursday the 12th of December at 10am (straight after our Christmas Liturgy). We hope you can make it.

Learning Centre Term Overviews

Reports

Semester Two reports will come home in a few weeks, below is part of Justin's letter informing parents of the continuing change with the reporting of the maths curriculum.

Student Reporting Update – Mathematics Version 2.0

I am writing to remind you about the changes to student reporting for Mathematics in Victorian government schools.

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) recently published its revised Mathematics curriculum (Mathematics curriculum 2.0).

On your child's Semester One report, the teacher reported against the Mathematics Curriculum 2.0, achievement standard as a whole, providing a single, aggregated score.  In previous years, teachers reported against three strands however, with the new curriculum we will continue to report to a single aggregated score.

As the achievement standards reported on have changed, your child received a single aggregate score in Semester One. Semester Two report progress will be shown against the single achievement standard; however, as it is an aggregated score, your child's progress in particular areas of mathematics may not be reflected in this overall score.

Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s learning group teacher, the Learning Centre Leader, Bec Tardrew our Learning and Teaching Leader or myself if you have concerns about your child’s report or progress.
