Principal's Report

End of Term Events

As this newsletter is sent out today (4 December - Week 8) we have 14 days until the end of the term. There are lots of events to be aware of and these are published on the calendar as part of the Newsletter each fortnight. The calendar is updated each time the newsletter is published. There is also a Parent Calendar on the Sentral App.

Week 8

Monday 2 December - OC Orientation for Year 5 in 2025

Tuesday 3 December - Year 6 High School Orientation for all Secondary Schools

                                             Morning Tea for Volunteers at 9.45am

Wednesday 4 December - Talent Quest - 9.40am and 12.40pm

Thursday 5 December - Drama Production - 9.40am and 10.40am

Week 9

Monday 9 December - Year 6 Graduation Ceremony 10am (COLA)

                                            Year 6 Farewell at St Johns Park Bowling Club 5.30-8.30pm                                                             (Year 6 Parents can attend from 8pm)

Tuesday 10 December - Stage 3 End of Year Assembly 9.30am (COLA)

                                               Stage 2 End of Year Assembly 12.45pm (COLA)

Wednesday 11 December - Early Stage 1 Assembly 9.30am (COLA)

                                                     Stage 1 Assembly 10.30am (COLA)

Thursday 12 December - Preschool Purple Group Celebration

                                                 End of Year Student Reports sent home

Friday 13 December - Fun Day 12 - 2pm

Week 10

Tuesday 17 December - Preschool Pink Group Celebration 

Wednesday 18 December - Last day of school for 2024

                                                      Year 6 Tunnel 2.40pm

Attention Year 3 and Year 5 students and families

Applications for selective high school and opportunity class entry in 2026 are now open until 21 February 2025. There will be no late applications due to the longer application period, and the application closing date being closer to the test dates and logistical constraints around organising test centres and devices.

The 2025 selective high school and opportunity class placement test dates are 2-4 May 2025.

Thank You for Donations

I would like to thank all of the families and friends for supporting the Salvation Army's Christmas Appeal with the food hamper donations. It's not too late to donate! The final day for donations is Thursday 5 December. The items can be dropped off at the front office or the preschool.
