Ride for a Cause
Jacqui Goldenberg, Community Service Program Director
On Wednesday this week, our Year 7s and their parents powered through an incredible challenge, keeping five stationary bikes moving from 8.00am to 4.00pm and covering a total of 745.3km. That’s the equivalent of cycling from Melbourne to Moss Vale, NSW (an 8-hour car journey)!
This impressive effort was all in support of our charity partner, Eat Up Australia. Eat Up provides meals to hungry kids, helping them learn, grow, and succeed.
A special shout-out goes to the parents who volunteered to ride alongside their children. While the parent bike narrowly edged out Barrett for the win, no one could top Ewan Brown, Year 7, who cycled an impressive 10.4km in just 15minutes.
On the same day, the Year 7s also made an astounding 2,000 sandwiches in just 90 minutes to assist Eat Up! What an amazing effort for such a great cause.
So far, we’ve raised $1,500, but we’re aiming to double that. To support this wonderful cause, visit the Eat Up Fundraising page and make a donation!

School TV - Confidence and Motivation
Building confidence and motivation in young people is essential for their overall wellbeing and is a key aspect of their development. These qualities can have a lasting impact on their success and happiness.
Confidence helps children believe in their abilities and face challenges with a positive attitude, while motivation drives their desire to learn, explore and achieve their goals.
Fostering these traits involves creating an environment that encourages children to take risks, learn from their mistakes and celebrate their achievements.
Confidence is built when children feel capable and valued, while motivation is fuelled by the belief that their efforts will lead to growth and success. By actively supporting both, we can help young people thrive in the academic, social, and personal areas of their life.
In this edition of SchoolTV, discover how to provide opportunities for autonomy and support your child in persevering through challenges.

Congratulations to 'The Swamp Frogs'
In early November, three Kilvington students from the 9th Caulfield (Murrumbeena) Scout Group participated in The Fantastic Race—an incredible adventure where teams navigate suburban streets and use public transport, solving clues to earn as many activity points as possible.
A huge congratulations to 'The Swamp Frogs', featuring Kilvington’s own Henry Jones (Year 7), Barney Jones (Year 8) and Charley Johnston (Year 8), who secured 1st place out of over 140 teams! What a fantastic achievement!
