Acting Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I am excited to share that I have been appointed as the new Principal at St Mary's Primary School in Hastings. I will begin there at the start of 2025, so you are stuck with me until then!
I will be sad to leave this beautiful school and community, it has been the happiest time in my career being part of such a wonderful culture of staff, students and families and something I will always treasure. Thank you for welcoming me and allowing me to be part of the community here, it may have been only two years but it has been an amazing experience.
Please note our next School Closure Day is Friday 22nd November
All staff will participate in a First Aid refresher course and planning day for 2025.
There will be no out of school hours care on this day.
Year 6 End of Year Key Graduation Timetable
Year 6 families please take note of the key dates and events as scheduled for the final weeks of Term 4.
Friday 6th December Year 6 Fun Day Celebration! Our Year 6 students will have a fun day out at Zone Bowling Centre, Clayton.
Thursday 12th December - 6.00pm-7.30pm Graduation Mass & Year 6 Presentations Our Year 6 families are invited to the Year 6 Graduation Mass on Thursday 12th December.
Friday13th December End of Year School Assembly - 9.00am - 10.30am Our Year 6 students will lead the final assembly for the 2024 School Year and will present their traditional Graduation dance routine to the school. The Year 6's will also present their Advent liturgy. The 2025 Leaders will be announced. We will make all formal presentations to our Year 6 students and recognise those families who conclude their association with St Andrew’s School.
Year 6 Family Lunch 12.00pm - 1.00pm Following on from the final Year 6 assembly, we invite all Year 6 students and parents, to gather in the hall for an End of Year 6 Family Lunch. (Full details in regards to the lunch will be distributed to families)
Tuesday 17th December End of School Year Mass 9.00am
Year 6 Graduation Guard of Honour - 12.45pm - 1.00pm We invite all community members to gather at the front of the school as we celebrate the traditional Year 6 Graduate Guard of Honour. Year 6 children will be cheered through a student guard of honour, recognising their time at our school and their new 2025 journeys.

At no time should parents be driving into the school grounds to drop their children off. The safety of all children and families must be our priority and we ALL need to do the right thing.
Zooper Dooper Friday
With Term 4 warning up we welcome back our Friday Zooper Dooper sales!
Children are invited to bring 50 cents to school to purchase a Zooper Dooper on a Friday.
We thank our Year 6 children for volunteering their time to support the sales of the Zooper Doopers. All profits raised from the sales will go to our Kadasig fundraising efforts.
The next Working Bee date is Saturday 30th November
Due to the postponement of our last Working Bee, we will hold it on Saturday November 30th.
Students not returning in 2025
We believe a few students currently in Year 1-5 who are moving area and will not be attending St. Andrew's in 2025. If you have not informed us please ring and email the school immediately as it effects our planning and enrolment numbers.
2025 Prep Enrolments
HAVE YOU ENROLLED YOUR CHILD FOR PREP 2025?
If you have a child ready for Prep 2025, we encourage you to please put in an enrolment form as soon as possible. This will help us with organisation purposes. To access an enrolment form:

2024 School Calendar
The 2024 School Calendar is available on the School Website. It can be found mid-way down on the front page under the heading ‘WHAT’S ON’. We will endeavour, where possible, to remain true to the dates on the 2024 calendar. We recommend that parents regularly visit the school website to see updates on all school events.
