Open Day 2024

On Saturday 4 May, Bayside Christian College celebrated our annual Open Day with a showcase of the school’s vast resources, inclusive community and Christ-centred curriculum.

The cornerstone of any educational institution is its academic programs, and Bayside Christian College takes pride in offering a diverse array. We were able to see the scope of these through staff—and student-led tours of our North and South Campuses. Tour guides were kept extremely busy, with approximately 250 visitors coming through the gates over the course of the day.

At Bayside, learning extends beyond the confines of traditional classrooms and the Open Day exemplified this by hosting a myriad of interactive demonstrations. Attendees were encouraged to immerse themselves in, ‘The Bayside Way,’ as they sampled food technology delicacies, met our agriculture animals, participated in hands-on robotics, explored active classrooms and listened to a variety of student musical performances.

Education at Bayside Christian College fosters the development of the wide range of God-given abilities in our students. Open Day provided a platform to showcase the extracurricular activities we have available, ranging from Bayside sporting clubs to community service initiatives, camps and mission opportunities. These activities not only enrich students' experiences but also nurture skills such as leadership and teamwork.

Bayside Open Day 2024 was a wonderful display of our school’s mission to enable students to learn, grow and thrive in an educational environment characterised by faith, hope, love, joy, peace and service.
