Library Update

There are some exciting things happening at Doncaster Primary School Library....

** We are open for EXTRA borrowing every Monday and Thursday between 3.15 and 3.30. This is for students that forgot their bag on their normal session, are in a non-library week on the timetable or are just super fast readers and need more books! No library bags needed.

** We are giving away preloved books which we no longer need to our school community to keep...for free! Parents and students are welcome to come and check out the trolley regularly to see if there is anything that catches your attention. We have picture books, non fiction, workbooks and novels regularly being added. If your child needs more books to practice reading at home, please come and have a look!

** Our Easy Fiction area is now generified and our Non Fiction is on its way there too!

To help encourage borrowing during their library lessons students can look for the clear, easy to find signage to find books on a topic they are interested in. There has already been great feedback, let me know what you think!

** Reminder library runs on a 2 week timetable this year. Make sure your child has a library bag on the right day so they can borrow. Any bag will do as long as it is named, I have 2nd hand ones if needed. Try to borrow every session because we know... Good Readers Make Great leaders!
