Welcome back to a new year. In speaking with families over the last few weeks, it is evident that most had a wonderful break but are also looking forward to a promising year ahead, filled with making connections and Hope. The theme for the school this year is ‘Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you (Is 60: 1)'

First Term is always a busy term with Opening Mass, Ash Wednesday, Lent and Catholic Education Week. Holy Week falls during the school holidays this year, however as a school, we will observe this during the last week of the term. Please mark the following dates in your family calendar and we look forward to celebrating with you, with our families and our community.

Wednesday February 12- Opening School Mass at 9:15 am. This is a whole school mass with the exception of our Foundation students, as they will still be on a part time timetable. All families are welcome to join us in celebrating the start of the 2025 school year.

Tuesday March 04 - Shrove Tuesday. At St Mary’s School, we will launch our Lenten program- Project Compassion with a pancake morning tea. All money raised will help the work of Caritas Australia. A gold coin donation is welcomed for 3 pancakes to enjoy for morning tea.

Wednesday March 05 - Ash Wednesday Mass at 9:15am. All families are welcome to join the school community as we observe the start of Lent with our Catholic community.
