GREAT to see students have transitioned into the new 2025 school year. Supports and routines from home and school assist to make this a seamless experience for students.
School health nurses Tammy and Sarah visited our campus last week to provide diabetes and anaphylaxis practical training to school staff.
Carbal Hearing screening will occur in Week 5 this term. Notes and consent forms have been sent home with some of our students. If you require further information regarding this service, please contact our office staff.
NAPLAN
Year 3 and 5 students will be completing NAPLAN testing later this term. If you would like any further information regarding adjustments for your child when completing NAPLAN, please contact Head of Inclusion Fiona Mulligan , fmull1@eq.edu.au

Have you seen the beautiful painting in the office foyer? We created it with Aunty Cheryl Moggs as part of our NAIDOC Week activities last year. It is called "A Journey of Discovery" and the children and Aunty Cheryl designed both the story and symbols. This is the first part of our story, see if you can find the symbols when you visit the office.
This is our story-our painting:
Our story starts with us. See the children in the big circle at the top of the painting. That is us. The children at Goondiwindi State School. Our teachers are in the middle. They are part of our journey of discovery.
As we look at the night sky you will see the black stars. They are our loved ones. They twinkle at night to tell us they are ok. Aunty Cheryl says, “that’s where her ancestors and the creators of the Dreaming are too”.
