Big Brekky
After the extreme weather during the week. it turned out to be a perfect morning for our Big Brekky last Friday. It was great to see so many families enjoying the opportunity to catch up with each other while enjoying a bite to eat. I hear the sausages were a huge hit.
The two chefs cooking them must have done a wonderful job .
A big thank you to our wonderful staff for setting up and serving the hordes of hungry mouths.
Footy Tipping
It's Back!
Our CCK Family and Friends Footy Tipping Competition returns this year by popular demand.
Existing members should just be able to reactivate their account for 2025 but all new members this year just scan the QR code or click on the link below and follow the simple prompts to enter.
Make sure you read the rules carefully. Gotta be in it to win it!
Cyber Safety Project
On Tuesday the Cyber Safety Project visited our school to enable teachers, parents and families to ensure children can participate safely in the digital world.
Children responded really well to the sessions and were 'a delight to work with'.
In the evening, our Year 3 children received their chromebooks and were so excited to take them home.
Headphones
Can we please ask all families to ensure their child/ren brings a pair of headphones or earphones to school that can be left in their tub to use with their Chromebook or iPad when required? This allows children to listen to audio without disturbing the rest of the class.
Happy Families
Our school subscribes to the Happy Families School Membership!
Owned and run by Dr Justin Coulson, one of Australia’s leading parenting experts, the membership offers a wealth of parenting education and resources.
Each week we share resources available through our membership with you on our Parent Partnership page. You can also access the resources at any time using the details below:
https://schools.happyfamilies.com.au/login/ccki
Password: happyccki
You also have access to 4 live webinars a year (one per term). The first one is all about Emotional Regulation, which is perfect for this time of the year as children settle back into school routine.
You’ll have access to the recording via our school’s URL but as the webinars are live, we recommend you watch them in real time so that you can ask Dr Justin and / or the guest presenter any questions you may have.
We hope you enjoy the Insights and webinars!
Absences
Please note that it is a requirement that parents notify the school (preferably in writing) of all instances when their child may be absent for all or part of a day. This can be done by emailing (or writing to) your child's teacher or contacting the school office.
When notifying, please notify us of absences prior to 9:00 am and remember to include the reason.
Even simpler, absences can be reported via our school app.
School Closure Day
Please note our upcoming School Closure Day:
Friday 7th March - School Closure Day: - Staff Professional Learning Day: Enhancing Catholic Identity through Scripture
