Behaviour Expectations

Promoting a Safe and Respectful School Environment

Boorowa Central School is committed to creating a safe and respectful learning environment for all students and staff. Schools play an important role in teaching key society values like respect, kindness, and responsibility.

As we continue to see increasing challenges with aggression in schools, we ask for the support of our parents and caregivers in upholding the expectations we have in place. Boorowa Central School is a ‘hands off’ school, meaning any physical aggression will almost certainly lead to suspension. The same applies to disrespectful or abusive language toward staff. These expectations are firm and essential for helping to keep our school a positive place where staff can teach, and students can learn.

Throughout the semester, I will be sharing our school discipline procedures so we can work together with families to guide students toward making good choices. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these values at home.

If you have any questions or would like to talk about ways to support your child, please reach out.

Behaviour Focus: Understanding Relationships Weeks 7, 8, 9

For the next three weeks, students will explore, identify, and describe the qualities of positive relationships. Through discussions and activities, they will develop a deeper understanding of respect, empathy, and effective communication, which are essential skills for building strong and supportive connections with others.
