Welcome back to Term 3, we have a busy term with Year 10 Teen Mental Health First Aid, RUOK? Day, the development of our school Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with Colleen, First Nation’s Coordinator, along with many incursions, camps and excursions…busy times!
This week in POD we have been discussing the importance of sleep during adolescence, how sleep can help the body and mind, and how much sleep teenagers need. These are important conversations to carry on at home. Research suggests that many teenagers are not getting enough sleep. Studies from VicHealth and the Sleep Health Foundation found that “the average teenager only got between 6.5-7.5 hours of sleep a night, well under the recommended 8-10 hours”.
We encourage families to continue these conversations from school into conversations at home.

DoubleU Artists and HPAC present: Nathan Cavaleri - Growing Pains.

From child prodigy to cancer survivor, from global stages to mental health collapse, Nathan Cavaleri lays bare an extraordinary journey.
In this raw, solo show filled with storytelling and music, he traces his path from busking in Campbelltown to the heights of stardom — and back home to himself.
Raw, funny, and ultimately uplifting, Growing Pains transcends nostalgia. It’s a soulful, real-time reckoning with the highs, lows, and healing that define a life lived out loud.
