Semester One Reports and Parent-Teacher Interviews
Semester One Student Achievement Reports were released via XUNO on Wednesday 24 June. Reports provide information about your child's progress against the Victorian Curriculum Achievement Standards, with ratings indicating that students are working towards and progressing towards the expected achievement standard.
Due to industrial action undertaken by staff this term in line with Australian Education Union recommendations, full descriptive comments may not be included in all reports. Some teachers may have chosen to include comments and/or Attitudes to Learning (ATL) Skills to support communication about student progress.
Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held:
Primary School: Tuesday 28 July (12:00 pm – 7:00 pm)
Secondary School: Wednesday 29 July (12:00 pm – 7:00 pm)
Interviews will be available both onsite and via Webex. Further information regarding bookings will be provided early next term.
To support the interviews and accommodate all families, students will finish at 12:00 pm on the day of their scheduled interviews. Further details regarding dismissal arrangements will be communicated closer to the dates. Thank you for your ongoing partnership in supporting your child's learning.
Crossing Supervisors
Our crossing supervisors play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians as they cross streets near our school, which are busy intersections. We are grateful to our parents and students who frequently use the school crossing. Although it is sometimes inconvenient to walk back to the school crossings, it sets a great example for young children and ensures that when they are by themselves, they will use the crossing and stay safe. By law, adults must cross at a pedestrian crossing if they are within 20 metres of one. Please treat our crossing supervisors with respect at all times, after all, they have the best interest and safety of our community at the fore front of every decision they make.
ICAS 2026 Registrations Now Open
We are excited to be offering Year 2 to 9 students the opportunity to take part in ICAS, a world-renowned online academic competition that challenges higher order thinking and problem-solving skills.
This year students can elect to sit assessments in Digital Technologies, Writing, English, Science, Spelling Bee and Mathematics, with sittings running across August. Every participant receives a printed certificate and an online results report, with top performers eligible for an ICAS medal. Results are benchmarked against students across the state and nation, offering meaningful insight into your child's strengths and areas for growth.

How to register
Head to the ICAS Parent Portal and use our parent code to enrol in your chosen subjects:
Direct link: https://shop.icasassessments.com/pages/parent-payment/
Parent code: NVX231

Registrations close Monday 27 July at 11:59pm.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office. We encourage families to consider this wonderful opportunity to celebrate their child's talents.
Holiday Reading
As we head into the holidays, we'd like to encourage all of our students to keep reading. Even just 10–15 minutes each day can make a big difference in maintaining reading fluency, building vocabulary, and developing a lifelong love of reading.
The holidays are a wonderful time to relax with a good book, share stories together, visit the local library, or explore topics that spark your child's curiosity. Whether it's a novel, a comic, a magazine, or a favourite picture book, every page read helps keep young minds active and growing.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope you all enjoy a safe, restful, and happy term break, filled with plenty of opportunities to read together.
Please find 'Point Cook Library' opening hours below.
