Colour Dash

June 26th on a Friday it was the end of our first semester! During recces our school’s student leadership team had a morning tea with some of our school’s community, it was an amazing opportunity to be able to say "Hi" and have a chance to talk to some of our families. From there we followed into a whole school assembly where awards were presented to students for showcasing our school values, academic awards, sport acknowledgments and so on. We then had our final PEARL session where we talked and reflected about our first two terms at Birranga College and talked about our challenges and successes along the way. During lunch, we enjoyed our sausages from the sausage sizzle and jammed to some music while we were at it. The day might have been coming to an end, but all our teachers had planned a few more activities for us.

On the last afternoon of Term 2, all the Year 7 students headed out to the oval for an exciting way to finish the semester. We started with a thrilling PEARL class vs class tug of war battle, where everyone tried their best. The competition was close, and (unfortunately) my class came second, but it was still full of teamwork and encouragement. After the tug of war, it was time for the Colour Dash. As we ran through the oval, teachers showered us with colourful powder, filling the air with bright colours. It was so much fun and an unforgettable experience. It was the perfect way to end the term and make great memories with our friends.
