Welcome back!
We have an exciting term with lots of opportunities for our Koorie students. Please take your time to read through them and let me know if your child would be interested.
EXCURSIONS
RMIT Deadly Day of STEM – 20 February - Years 9 - 12 only
Students will be heading to RMIT Melbourne campus to participate in a range of engineering and fashion workshops.
Bangarra Dance Theatre
Once again, the Dance Academy will be seeing Bangarra dancers, and I will be attending with them. This is always a wonderful day.
OPPORTUNITIES
Richmond FC about their REAL Program - Years 9 - 10
This is a leadership program that is run through Richmond Football Club. Students receive a mentor, learn about our culture and develop leadership skills within our community. If you are interested in this leadership program, then please let me know.
A.G. Coombs is currently seeking several apprentices due to increased workload in Victoria. They are looking for First Nations students only.
They are currently offering:
- Mechanical Plumbing
- Refrigeration and A/C
- Drafting (Cert IV)
- Sprinkler Fitting
- Electrical
Lastly, Daniel Bowen, Student Leadership Leader, has put up the application process for students to become our Indigenous Captain. It would be great to have a few applicants to help lead our students.
