Hello, my name is Bethany Foster and I have the honour of being the Applied Learning Captain for 2026

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back our VCE VM families and students to Berwick College for 2026.

After a successful Federation University, whole day event for all Year 12 students, we are now looking forward to the swimming carnival, where the Year 12 Personal Development Skill (PDS) classes are planning, organising and running the BBQ, so please come by and say hello, enjoy a snag or cold drink.

Our next focus will be securing work placement in our chosen industries, which will take place towards the end of Term 2. This is a very important part of the VCE VM program as this experience usually guides students on the pathways we enjoy, helping rule out pathways that are not for us, and often providing us with real job opportunities after school.

We have had some really positive feedback regarding new resources that have been introduced to the program by both students and teachers and are looking forward to the excursions, incursions and opportunities to establish stronger relationships within our community.

I want to encourage all VCE VM and junior school students to get the best out of all the Applied Learning programs offered at Berwick College.

These opportunities will make a difference to our futures.
