Year 11

Welcome back, we are excited for the year ahead. 

We are thrilled to announce that rehearsals for the much-anticipated Presentation Ball are just around the corner! Term 1 is going to be very busy, so below are a few important reminders and exciting updates to share.

First Day Program 

It was great to see students in attendance on the first day, engaging positively with the program and beginning the year with enthusiasm. Hopefully you have gained a better understanding of expectations, careers and study skills. We are working on allocating you all a mentor teacher. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need help please come see the Year 11 Team in E1s. 

Important Events 

• School Photo Catch Up

School photos were held on Wednesday 11 February. If you did not attend, there has been a catch-up day scheduled for Tuesday 24 February. Please ensure you are in full school uniform on this day. 

• Swimming Carnival 

The Swimming Carnival is just around the corner on Thursday 19 February. As this is a school event this contributes toward your attendance. It would be great to see you all in attendance participating in some of the events. There will be swimming races as well as novelty races so get your bathers on and ready for a great day! 

Presentation Ball 

Thank you to those who have signed up for the Presentation Ball. Rehearsals begin on Monday 23 February. Please make sure that you have consented to the event on Compass so that you are able to participate.

Attendance Reminder

To ensure you are eligible to attend the Presentation Ball, students are required to maintain 90% attendance as per the Berwick College attendance policy for teachers to authenticate their work. Please note, truancy will be followed up by the Year 11 Team, so make sure to attend all classes and engage fully in your learning. We are here to support you, but regular attendance is key to your success!

VCE Assessments & SACs

A big congratulations to all students who are beginning to complete their first assessments and SACs in the VCE program. We are so proud of your efforts to seek feedback and engage with your learning. Teachers are providing positive feedback, and we’re excited to see the hard work you’ve put in pay off. Keep it up—you’re doing great!

Full School Uniform Reminder

A quick reminder that full school uniform is expected every day. If you are out of uniform for any reason, please ensure you have a note from a parent or carer. If you're ever unsure about uniform requirements, please come and speak to one of the leaders in E1s. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to looking their best!

It’s been a great start to the year, and we’re so excited to see all the wonderful things ahead. You’re off to a fantastic start, and we’re confident that with continued effort and determination, you’ll make this year one to remember. Keep working hard, stay positive, and know that we’re all cheering for you!
