Year 3/4 News

Speaking & Listening
A note went home last week about Speaking and Listening this term. Please make sure your child is organised for their day. Let us know if you have any questions.
Nightly Reading & Spelling Homework
We would like to remind families that students are expected to read at home at least 4 nights per week. Each reading session should be recorded and signed in their reading log by a parent or guardian. Students may bring books home from school to read, or they are welcome to read books they already have at home. Reading logs will be collected each Monday to be checked, and a reward system is in place in each class to encourage consistent nightly reading.
Please see the ‘Principal’s News’ page for information about Spelling Homework.
Inquiry
This term, students are exploring an Inquiry unit focused on building positive relationships both online and in person. This week, they completed two lessons, one on being a digital citizen superhero and making safe choices online, and another on identifying trusted adults and understanding how to seek support when needed.
Maths
Students have been learning about collecting, representing and analysing data. They explored different class timetables across the school and represented the time spent on each subject using line graphs. Later in the week, they examined weather data from around the world and created line graphs to compare two sets of data.
