The Preps had a great time swimming last week. It was nice to see their confidence in the water improve throughout the week.

READING - We have been learning about " what good readers do before they read".

1. Look for clues with our "eagle eyes"
2. Locate the title and author of the book
3. Use "Paula the predictor" to make predictions about what you think the book is about and what will happen next.
4. Use our "pointy pig" to point to the pictures and the words.
5. Start to recognise the sounds we know in words.

MATHS - In Maths we have been learning numbers to 10, as well as subitising (recognising quantities of objects instantly eg dice, dominoes.) Maths is lots of fun with music, games and many hands on activities.

SCHOOL NURSE- Please remember to complete the online form to book your child into the school nurse for the 23rd and 24th Feb. Very importantly, Denise will be checking, vision, hearing and fine motor skills, and will be in contact with parents to make any referrals or recommendations.
