Welcome
In this edition of MY FUTURE Careers News, I include an article in the full edition of a letter to the Class of 2023, written by a Careers colleague in NSW. I have edited it for a Victorian context. It provides a fabulous insight into the next step beyond secondary schooling. I urge all Year 12 students to read it.
We will shortly experience a certain hush around the College as our Year 12 cohort commence their final examinations. The other Senior students will begin in a few weeks. This will be followed by an Orientation period where students will begin their studies for next year. If any student feels as though they need to change a subject, it is best that they check in with the Career Pathways Leader to ascertain if there are other implications in doing so.
In addition, this edition includes information on:
- A STEM conference in Melbourne
- Scholarships for entrepreneurship and innovation
- Apprenticeships vs university – what are the benefits?
- Starting a business in high school
- What it is like to work in a Theatre?
- How to become an Aged Care worker.
