WORLD KINDNESS DAY

World Kindness Day is celebrated on the 13th November every year. This week in the 21st Century Learning Space during the lunchtime activities we focused on things to do with kindness. Doing something for someone else to make them smile. Helping someone, sharing, listening to a friend, supporting someone who is having a bad day, picking up some rubbish and putting it in the bin, opening a door, tidying up etc. If we think about it there are hundreds of things we can do that can make a difference to someone else and along the way it makes us feel good too.

On Monday we made a “kindness chain.” Every link in the chain has a message about kindness on it. Here are some of the messages written by our students:-

Use kind words -- If you are lonely go to the buddy bench -- Kindness is contagious -- Respect others -- Help your friends -- Be the sun in people’s lives -- Work hard to reach your goals -- Be kind to yourself -- Grow together in kindness -- We care for you… It was wonderful to see students from Foundation to Year 5 thinking and writing their thoughts about kindness and helping each other make the “kindness chain.” Well done everyone.

HISTORY: Our Class is Wonderful! Book

During the 50th Birthday Celebrations every class in the school contributed a page to be included in the official Historical Archives of the school. The class page could be about anything they would like to say about their class or our school. I’d like to share a few more pages with you from 6C, 4B, 1B and 1D.

Ms. Babich by students of 1B

The important thing about Ms. Babich is that she makes school enjoyable for students.

She follows all of our school values.

She takes pride in our school environment and makes sure that everyone is safe.

She is as beautiful as a ballerina but can also be scary!

She cares about the environment.

She keeps toys in her office so that new students can play with them.

She always comes into our classroom to say hello.

She is as caring as Santa.

She is the best principal in the world!

But.. the most important thing about Ms. Babich is that she makes school enjoyable for students.

Mrs Bamford by students of 1D

The most important thing about

Mrs. Bamford is the beautiful and caring smile that she gives to all the children.

She is kind to everyone.

She keeps us safe in every way.

She helps Ms. Babich and keeps her on track.

Her laugh is as lovely as the sound of chirping birds in treetops.

But the most important thing about

Mrs. Bamford is the beautiful and caring smile that she gives to all the children.
