From the

Acting Assistant Principal

Greetings everyone,

Time is certainly flying by. Here we are at Week 7 with many more exciting opportunities for the students to come!

I had the pleasure of spending an hour in 1D last Thursday and heard many authors share their writing. The students were respectful and actively listening as the four chosen authors shared their work from the session. One of the great questions I heard from the audience to the authors was “what inspired you to write about that?" They demonstrated an ability to use the ‘third teacher’ by accessing words from around the room. They also happily shared their learning with their peers. It was a great session to be involved in!

I have had the privilege of speaking to Ayla, Eva and Josh (from the Leadership Team) about their Beyond Boundaries experience.

The students talked about the challenge of the Leap of Faith, which is 8 metres off the ground. Apparently, you are harnessed and then just leap off the end of the board…. sounds a tad scary!  They all agreed that they would recommend the camp to others with Eva saying, “others should do it because it takes you out of your comfort zone”. Well said Eva and thanks to all of you for your input.

Shall do some investigation into the middle school for the next newsletter.

Have a good week everyone.
