Parents and Carers are, and always will be, the primary body safety and sexuality educators of their children. Body Safety and Sexuality Education in the school setting can complement the value of respect and promote the involvement of parents and carers in this vital aspect of a child’s development.
Kelly is an experienced educator and has provided some resources she recommends to families to support dialogue:
Talk soon Talk often.
Secret Girls Business and Secret Boys Business
The school has copies of these resources available for families to borrow and use with their children.
The Prep Body Safety Program will be facilitated by Mrs Galvin and Mrs Snooks in class.
If any families wish to discuss our Body Education program, please feel welcome to see Gab or Lisa.
