Education in Faith

Faith, Family, Friendship

At Holy Spirit, we respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and their Elders past and present, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Holy Spirit Community School is located.

Advent

Almighty God,

We begin this Advent Season as an 'Advent People' – people of hope, ready to do your will.

Let your blessing come upon us as we light our first candle on our Advent wreath.

May it turn our hearts to you in the days ahead.

Please help us to understand all that You have done for us.

Grant us the peace and joy we long for, as we await the coming of your Son with patient hearts.

Amen.

Mass Reminders

Our goal this year is to to create a peaceful and respectful atmosphere during our church services, ensuring that everyone can focus on their spiritual experience. To help with this, we kindly request your cooperation when entering the church:

  1. Please enter the church quietly, so as not to disturb those already in prayer or reflection. This will also encourage our students to enter our church in the same way.
  2. We encourage you to engage in quiet conversation, in designated areas outside our church, if needed.
  3. For the comfort and cleanliness of our sacred space, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing coffee or other beverages into the church.

Your support in maintaining a serene and respectful environment is greatly appreciated. We believe that these small gestures will contribute to a more meaningful worship experience for all.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Upcoming Dates:

  • End of Year Mass: Wednesday 13th December, 9:15am
  • Year 6 Graduation Mass: Thursday 14th December, 5:00pm

Have a wonderful fortnight!

PARISH NEWS

This weekend our High Spirits children (children who do not attend Catholic primary schools) will come to the table of the Lord for the very first time.  Their mass is on Sunday at 5pm in the Church.  Please keep them, their family and friends in your prayers.

The Liturgy Team are seeking volunteers for all Christmas Masses, setting up the nativity etc.  There will be sign up sheets in the Church this weekend, so please consider how you can help.  We are always looking for new people to join the Liturgy Committee, so this may be a good time to consider joining the team.  Contact the Parish Office on 7036 9395 or email ringwoodnorth@cam.org.au if you are interested or have any questions.

Christmas Eve masses are at 5.00 pm, 7.30 pm and 10.30 pm.  Christmas Day is at 9.00 am.  We encourage children to come dressed as angels, shepherds etc. and carols will be sung before each Mass.

An anointing mass will be held on Friday 1st December at 11.00 am in the Church followed by a light lunch and carol singing.  If you know anyone who may be interested in coming along, please contact the Parish Office on 7036 9395 to register.  We do need to know numbers for catering purposes.  Thank you.

Holy Spirit is a child safe Parish.  We hold the care, safety and well being of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our Parish.
