Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear Parents, Friends and Father Arsenio,

I trust this finds you all well and ready to wind up another big school year. As I mentioned previously we are hosting a performance in the last week as a means to  give students a chance to showcase some of their (Performing Arts) learning as well as bring our community together. Whilst a Wednesday afternoon is not ideal for working parents I am keen to explore the concept a little differently next year and run a 'Twilight School' Day.

Our Parish is also keen to look at ways that our community comes together. To this end they are hosting a session on Sunday morning beginning at 10:30am. Ron Huntley an internationally renowned speaker will address the concept of communities and what we want from them. Please feel free to come along.

This time of the year is always interesting in a school. Two of our teachers have indicated that they are moving to other schools. Nicole and Kristina are both departing for other schools. I appreciate their contributions to our school and wish them well for what comes next. Given I am sourcing staff I aim to publish either in the next newsletter or via email where teachers will be placed for next year.

Ben Lannen is on leave at the moment until at least the end of next week. I can assure you all that he is fine. Caeleigh has been replaced in PE to take some of the wellbeing workload that Ben usually undertakes.

Lastly as you may be aware we support St Vincent de Paul in a number of ways. There are envelopes for their Christmas Dinner Appeal. Please let us know if you would like one to make a contribution via an envelope and we will send one home.

Have a great week

Duncan
