School Notices

Swimming Lessons Year 1 and Year 2 

Students in Years 1 and 2 will be attending swimming lessons at Ellenbrook State Swim(Cnr Plaza Turn and Library Ave) during Week 5 and 6 of Term 4, November 6th - November 17th. This is a COMPULSORY activity for all students.

 

The children will be travelling to and from the pool by bus in accordance with the timetable below. 

Students are to wear their uniforms over this two-week swimming period. The children will be required to change into their bathers at school and students will change out of bathers once they return to school.All students will attend the pools with their year level at the allocated time.

Please pack a separate bag with the following items:

 

·         Bathers

·         Towel

·         Slip on shoes (thongs)

·         Drink bottles

·         Goggles

 

Please ensure all items are clearly LABELLED to avoid confusion or misplacement, including shoes and socks.St Helena’s staff will be present and available at the pools for the duration of the lessons. Please note, no food is to be given to the children at the pools.

 

Please be aware that the swimming instructors will assess the students in the first couple of lessons and students may be moved to another class, at the discretion of the Swimming Teachers.

Family Mass

St Helena's Catholic Primary School will lead Family Mass on Saturday 18 November at 6:00pm. We invite our school community to attend.  The School Choir will be in attendance.

Annual Community Meeting

The St Helena's Catholic Primary School Annual Community Meeting will be held on Thursday 23 November at 6:00pm in the School Library.

P & F Disco

Communication in regards to volunteering to assist with the Disco will be sent this week.

Carols Night

Running Club

Running Club takes place on Tuesday mornings from 7:50am to 8:15am. Students from Year 1 to Year 6 can be dropped off and Pre-Primary students can attend if a parent remains  with them.

School Carpark

The carpark gate opens at 2:00pm daily and we ask that parents who are parking to collect their children to please use the bays with white lines.

 

To alleviate congestion through the carpark and surrounding streets we ask parents to not arrive in the Kiss and Ride before 2:30pm as this prevents Pre-Kindy and Kindy parents who need to park to collect their children from being able to access vacate parking spots. You may be asked to move out of the Kiss and Ride if you arrive before this time.

 

When exiting the carpark at drop off and pick up time please turn left only so that the flow of traffic is not interrupted.
